Where is Express Laundry Center located?
We're at 1021 Heiskell Ave, Knoxville, TN 37921, in Northwest Knoxville — near North Broadway and I-275, with easy, free parking right at the door, plus more behind the building.
What are your hours?
We're open 8:30 AM to 8:30 PM, seven days a week. The last wash starts at 8:00 PM.
Do you take coins or cards?
Both — pay with quarters, a credit or debit card, Apple Pay, or your reloadable loyalty card. Tap your card or phone to start, and get a loyalty-card reload bonus when you load it — $20 becomes $22, $40 becomes $45. Change machines are on site if you need quarters.
Is there parking?
Yes — free, well-lit parking directly in front of the store, plus more behind the building, with a step-free path from the lot to the door.
Is the laundromat attended?
Yes. Our space is attended during open hours, so there's always someone to help with machines, make change on your account, or answer questions.

Pricing & services

How much does laundry cost?
Self-service washers run $4.75 (20 lb), $6.75 (40 lb), $8.75 (55 lb), and $15 (80 lb). Drop-off wash & fold is $2.00 per pound, and bulky items are priced per item: comforters $20 (king/queen) or $15 (twin/full), duvets $15, and pillows $8.
What is drop-off wash and fold?
Drop your laundry off, we weigh, wash, dry, and fold it, and it's ready the next business day. It's $2.00 per pound, with pickup & delivery available as an add-on.
Do you offer pickup and delivery?
Yes, as an add-on to wash & fold — we collect your laundry and return it clean and folded on a schedule that works for you. Call (865) 281-3381 to set it up.
How big are your machines?
We have high-efficiency washers from 20 lb up to 80 lb. A 20 lb machine handles about two weeks for one person; an 80 lb machine can take a king comforter or several loads at once.
Can I wash a comforter there?
Yes — our 55 and 80 lb machines clean a comforter or a full king bedding set evenly, which most home washers can't. Run it yourself or drop it off — comforters are $20 (king/queen) or $15 (twin/full).
Do you do commercial or Airbnb laundry?
Yes. We handle commercial accounts for Airbnbs, hotels, gyms, salons, spas, restaurants, medical offices, and more, with volume pricing, pickup, delivery, and invoicing. See our commercial laundry page for a quote.

Using the laundromat

Do I need to bring my own detergent?
You're welcome to bring your own, and vending is available on-site if you forget. For drop-off wash & fold, detergent is included, and we can use a hypoallergenic option on request.
How long does a full wash and dry take?
Most wash cycles run about 18–30 minutes, and drying another 25–40 minutes depending on load size and fabric. Start to finish, plan on roughly an hour for a typical load.
Can I leave while my laundry runs?
You can, but we recommend staying nearby — the space is comfortable and Wi-Fi is available. Please collect your laundry promptly so machines stay open for other customers.
Do you have a rewards program?
Yes — load your loyalty card and get a reload bonus: $20 becomes $22, and $40 becomes $45. Ask an attendant to get started.
